Magic Tea

One day I decided to brew my own ginger tea and I started adding in other ingredients that I had to hand. I made sure they were all health-giving and flavoursome.

It contains, One mug of spring water, 3 thin slices of turmeric root, 8 thin slices of ginger root, one quarter teaspoon of stevia leaf powder, one quarter teaspoon of molasses/honey, one teaspoon of coconut oil and one shattered stick of cinnamon (cassia bark). Bring it almost to the boil & allow to cool for 5 mins. Add cold water. Enjoy!

Often times you can re-use the contents of the pot a few times until they are completely 'spent' or out of flavour.

I have learned to mix the coconut oil and stevia leaf powder in the mug. If you use cinnamon powder instead of a cinnamon stick, mix it with the coconut oil too.

Add cold water to your satisfaction. If you don't think it's sweet enough, squeeze half a vanilla pod into the tea and stir. Remember, if in doubt, experiment!
